Purpose Statement

Since 1901, the purpose of Woods Chapel Baptist Church, a uniquely diverse body of believers founded on the Word of God and united by the Holy Spirit, is to glorify God and trust Jesus as our Lord and Savior through:

• God-Centered Worship - Worshiping God in spirit and truth with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Hebrews 10:25; Ephesians 4:2,3; Luke 10:27; and Romans 12:1).
• Active Evangelism - Proclaiming God’s love and saving grace throughout our community, state, nation and world (John 3:16; Acts 1:8; and Matthew 28:19,20).
• Caring Ministry - Ministering unselfishly to the needs of our members and all people (Galatians 6:10; Luke 10:2; Matthew 25:34-40).
• Ongoing Discipleship - Equipping believers to grow in faith and works toward Christian maturity (Ephesians 4:12; James 2:17; and I John 2:3-6).
• Warm Fellowship - Giving something to others, working together for a common goal, to assume the responsibility for the well being of others, both materially and Spiritually (Galatians 6:10; 1 John 1:3,7; Romans 12:4,5; Acts 2:42).
